Changes in Attitudes about the Relevance of Science (CARS)

The tool was developed to measure: (a) change of science-related attitudes over time among students; and (b) the effect of similar curricula on the attitudes of different classes.

This survey has questions that middle through high school students can relate to. There are 3 versions that were tested using statistics to be equivalent. This means you can use them at different times and know that they are the same difficulty. Some of the items are repeated and some are new. Advanced measurement models were used in conjunction with qualitative analysis to develop a high quality survey.
