The tool was developed to measure: (a) change of science-related attitudes over time among students; and (b) the effect of similar curricula on the attitudes of different classes.

This is a good measure for assessing attitudes toward science for older youth-some language might be challenging for younger youth or youth with lower literacy levels. Interesting approach to measuring attitudes about science and science's application to the "real world." Some items not relevant for informal science education, bout overall, a strong measure.
