The VNOS-D could be a good tool for getting to know your students and their understandings of science. The open-ended questions and interview format allow students more freedom and a chance to go into more detail about their answers. Unfortunately, the administration time (75 minutes) may be too long for some students and teachers may have problems trying to find time for it. I would still recommend the VNOS-D as a strong tool for anyone looking to use an interview format.
